Damien assumed the role of Chief Business Development Officer at Gevo in February 2024. Prior to joining Gevo, he served as the Head of Specialty Products Business at Genomatica, a leading biotechnology company. During his tenure at Genomatica, Damien oversaw the development, production, sales, and marketing of biobased ingredients for personal care, cosmetics, and nutrition industries, achieving notable success with products like Brontide™ and Avela™. Damien began his journey with Genomatica in 2010 as Vice President of Business Development. Before joining Genomatica, Damien held positions in prominent organizations such as The Dow Chemical Company and the Queensland Government, where he explored innovative business opportunities and broadened his experience in international relations and business development.
