Joan Cetera is a senior communications and reputation leader with more than two decades of experience guiding complex organizations through transformation and leadership transition and has been Vice President of Communications and Public Relations at Gevo since April 2026. She brings deep expertise in enterprise communications, brand strategy, executive counsel, crisis management, and organizational change to Gevo, with a career spanning Fortune 100 companies and leading global communications firms.
Joan previously held senior communications leadership roles, aligning business strategy, culture and external perception to strengthen trust with employees, investors, media, and other key stakeholders. She strengthened corporate reputation, elevated executive visibility, modernized internal communications, and supported large scale brand, community, and social impact initiatives.
Earlier in her career, Joan served in senior leadership roles at top global communications agencies, leading consumer packaged goods, public affairs and brand marketing programs for well-known global brands, pairing culturally relevant storytelling with the governance, discipline and risk awareness required at enterprise scale.
